For our final year as writinginsideVT, we are pleased
to acknowledge a $3000 grant from Burlington City Arts Community Fund and a final grant from Serena Foundation
to help us produce “Life Lines: Re-Writing Lives from Inside Out.”
The book will be released nationally in July 2019
by Green Writers Press, Brattleboro VT.
In 2017 re received three grants from Serena Foundation,
Ben and Jerry’s Foundation and Bari and Peter Dreissigacker.
We are so grateful to our community for their generous
and ongoing support of our work.
Our 2017 Annual Appeal sought a goal of $15,000. We raised $8,100 from individuals, $500 from Pennywise Foundation, and $5,000 from the Richard E. and Deborah L. Tarrant Foundation. In a handwritten note, Lauren Curry, Executive Director wrote
“please let your writing group know that their pieces
and comments are what decided this grant.”
There can be no greater affirmation.
In 2016, we received $2500 from Serena Foundation
and $6500 from individual donors. We are so grateful
for this show of support for our very first appeal!
In 2015, we received a Capacity-Building Grant from
the Vermont Community Foundation for $2500
for a fundraising consultant to help us diversify our funding base and create a sustainable plan going forward.
We are so grateful for the energetic guidance of Jane Dale,
who sadly passed away early in 2016.
Between 2013 and 2015, Bari and Peter Dreissigacker
generously funded writing inside VT as we evolved
and learned best financial practices for our work.
The Vermont Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts started us with two early matching grants of $3300 and $5000 in FY 2010/11 and again in 2011/12. The Vermont Arts Council honored us by featuring us in that year’s annual report.
Special appreciation to Vermont Works for Women for their fiscal sponsorship in the first six years of writinginsideVT.
